FOCUS Kensington and Chelsea Foundation
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is the richest in the UK, yet many residents are unaware that its social and economic gaps are disturbingly wide. For example, average life expectancy is only 73 in the north of the Borough, 11 years less than in the south, reflecting these inequalities.
FOCUS K&C has been set up by local people to generate support for the more than 500 local charities addressing such issues, and to foster local pride and responsibility.
Working with local donors, we ensure that funds are channeled to where they will be most effective, monitor grants and provide donors with feedback, offer vehicles for tax efficient giving and help donors to engage with local charities.
We enable donors to achieve more collectively than they could individually.
